More than just a photo…

We’ve all felt it. We pick up a photo from years back and it transports us back to that time. We experience the same feelings we had that day, the same smells, the people, the smiles, the joy. Photos aren’t just a trite memory of a moment, they help us relive the moments, people and places we love.

I believe education about professional photography is important to understand why it is essential to choose a professional who has invested in their skill. This is especially important for choosing a wedding photographer because there are no do-overs! A professional wedding photographer has spent countless hours refining their skill and there are no shortcuts. If you care about the quality of your wedding portraits, please do not just hire anyone with a nice camera. Professional photography is not just clicking a button. There are so many things that a professional photographer looks for through the lens. For example, there is lighting to consider, which is the essence of photography. There is the background; people, scenery, distracting exit signs or lights that can take away or enhance a photograph. All of the settings on the camera can dramatically affect the photo as well as the post editing, which takes hours and hours. I won’t bore you with all the details, but you get the point. So please, choose a professional protographer as it is well worth the investment.
